No. It's your appearance, and you don't need our permission to change it. We simply require you to notify us of substantial changes so we can keep your profile and materials accurate.

The exception is when we're actively negotiating or have booked work based on a specific appearance. Otherwise, you're free to express yourself however you wish.

Phoenix Talent represents talent nationally, with a core focus on the Chicago, Rockford, Madison, and Milwaukee markets. With talent that works around the nation, we're keen on all markets and partnerships. Our deepest connections are in the Midwest, so our core roster starts here in the heart of the USA.

Currently, we represent talent for non-union opportunities. As a new agency, Phoenix Talent is not yet SAG-AFTRA franchised, but we intend to pursue franchising as we grow.

We can't guarantee bookings for all of our talent, but what we can guarantee is that - if selected for our roster - you'll be among some of the first to be given opportunities with our vast network of producers, writers, cinematographers, and brand clients.

The client always has final say who they take - and that comes down to how well you communicate, present, and sell your unique talents. This is where we shine. Showing you in the best light possible.

Not to mention that added value of the events, networking, digital presence, and more people working on your behalf.

First off - we will NEVER charge you a fee to join our roster. If we offer to represent you, that offer comes with no strings attached - no added fees, no "pay for us to add you to the website" bullshit. If we want you - that's FREE.

We collect our fees in 2 ways.

1) from the negotiated rate on paid gigs, which is usually 20% in addition to the fee we negotiate for you (e.g. session is $1000 + 20% agency, client pays $1200 total). This basically means you are paying nothing.

2) For specific services that you choose to hire us for, such as: featured talent profile, custom portfolio page (outside of agency site), print materials, photoshoots, talent reels, etc. These are always optional, and you'll know exactly what they cost before you choose to proceed.

Both. We offer exclusive and non-exclusive representation, with agreements structured around each talent’s career, market, goals, and existing representation.

Yes, you are always allowed to book gigs on your own. We never want to cripple your opportunities.

On non-exclusive representation agreements, you're free to book whatever you want, whenever you want, and we won't collect any payments or provide any services for these bookings unless you want us to. We strongly encourage you to forward those opportunities to your Phoenix Talent Partner, so we can help you get the gig and negotiate the best possible pay and terms.

If we are in an exclusive representation agreement, we require all negotiations and billing to run through our systems for all of our talent, and when there is no billable agency fee, we collect a 10% fee from the payment to cover our fees. Simply forward the booking details to your Talent Partner, and we will get to work.

Never. There is no fee to apply or sign with Phoenix Talent. Legitimate representation should make money when you make money, not by charging you for the opportunity to be represented. If an agency requires you to pay just to sign, be cautious.

Absolutely. We encourage our talent to be proactive. With non-exclusive representation, you're free to pursue and manage your own opportunities. With exclusive representation, you can still find your own work, but bookings must be processed through Phoenix Talent in accordance with your representation agreement.

Just remember, if we're not helping you negotiate and book the opportunity, you may be leaving money on the table, and we won't have the chance to expand that relationship for you. Plus, nearly all of the bookings we help with end up paying more than if you booked on your own.
